The Gist

At Christ in the Town Square, every fiber of our being desires to see Christ proclaimed to the nations. We don't want him merely proclaimed in our churches – we want him proclaimed everywhere! Every public discourse should be asking the question "What does Christ have to say about this?".

To get there, we desire to be one small blessing in the Christian's hands by providing t-shirts that proclaim the authority of Christ and makes spontaneous Christ exalting conversations a little bit easier and more frequent. 

Here are our Vision and Mission statements:

Vision: Support the Christian and the Church as they become fully equipped to proclaim all of who Christ is in the public square.

Mission: To design and sell t-shirts that proclaim the authority of Christ in every area of life and to encourage Christians to do the same (if the Lord wills, in the future, we will expand beyond t-shirts but for now t-shirts will be our milk and honey).

At Christ in the Town Square, we know that Christ has all authority, in heaven and on earth. He is not just Lord of his Church. He is Lord of all. It is all his. Regardless of how anyone feels about it – it is his. He is in charge. He makes the rules.

We believe that if any country shall prosper, it must turn to the Lord Jesus with true repentance and faith. And we believe that it is the responsibility of the Church to proclaim this message everywhere and to everyone, as it is the pillar and buttress of the truth (1 Timothy 3:15).

As such, Christ in the Town Square exists because we desire to create a culture in the church of boldly taking Christ to the town square. We desire to destroy the lie that the world has a "spiritual sphere" (comprised of our homes and churches) and a "secular sphere" (comprised of everything else). Instead, there is one sphere – Christ's sphere – and he rules it all.

This means that Christ has a say in everything. From how we change diapers to how we conduct our foreign policy. From the education we provide our kids to the judges we elect.  

And so, with our t-shirt designs we seek to do just that – that is, (1) proclaim the authority of Christ in every area of life and (2) encourage Christians to do the same by providing tool that to help engage in Christ exalting conversations.
